d·HEALTH Barcelona seeks people who wants to solve real, global, major challenges in the healthcare and medical technologies industries. We will help you starting up a new and innovative business model, product or service.
In this program, multidisciplinary teams made up of four people with backgrounds in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business and Design will enjoy a full cycle of innovation – from need identification to invention and early-stage implementation – and will be challenged and mentored by more than 70 international experts.
The learning process of d·HEALTH comprises 5 phases, based on the Biodesign Fellowship of Stanford University. In parallel, fellows attend a wide program of lectures in science, business and development of soft skills.
Bootcamp: You will be prepared to work as a team and get the skills you will need for the rest of the course.
Clinical Immersion: You will be immersed in the daily routine of a top hospital in Barcelona (Hospital Clínic, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu or Institut Guttmann) to identify real and unmet clinical needs.
Invent: You will select one of the unmet clinical needs to design and prototype a new and viable product or service.
Implement: You will design your business model (following Lean LaunchPad methodology).
Graduation Day: You will present your innovation to the community and to a panel of investors.
International Mobility: as part of the EIT Health consortium, d·HEALTH BARCELONA will give you the opportunity to visit and share experiences with other Innovation Fellowships programs in Europe.
Right after the program, our fellows founded their own start-up or find a job in relevant healthcare companies or research organizations
